Luv-d the OC Pug

My journey for the Luv of pugs began in 1996 when I purchased a pet quality pup named Chynna. I then got smart, researched, and found good quality show pugs from Dianna Geerling , Lazy G pugs. With her as my mentor, Tootsie was my second girl and I started showing in 1999. Her first show in Perris California went quite well receiving Best of Winners both days and 2 points. From there, I bred to a champion male and began my line. I am a small hobby show breeder and had several trials and disappointments but continued on and strive for the best bred pugs, and cater to families that purchase pet and show prospect puppies.

Puppies come from multiple champions and they all make exceptional companion high quality pets or show pugs.
Your pup will be in the best health and great looking.
There is a difference between backyard breeders and show breeders, they don't breed out the genetic health issues.
Because my reputation is at stake, we would not knowingly risk breeding pugs with health issues.
Our pups are all raised the same, usually all simular in conformation, and hopefully there will be 1 or 2 that will excel to a champion
and continue the line.
A few will be sold as pets to families not interested in showing.

I understand some people can't afford the cost of a well bred pug, but the quality and consistency in health, conformation and temperment will beat the cheaper backyard breeders.
You get what you pay for. I learned that the first year I was in pugs! It NEVER pays off to start the cheaper way.
Nothing is cheap but
it's the reward you get in new puppies and winning in the ring!

I now have 5 generations, home bred and most championed out with the help of Etel Gaturrna of Tesoro Pugs, www.tesoropugs.org Ch Luv-d Commander Thaddeus, Thad, finished in just 3 months with 4 majors in January 2008, then Dottie receiving her 2 majors in 3 months, one at the Pug Specialty in May of 2008.

A black pug was added from Mary and Ed Agner of Pow Wow Pugs in 2007. Angel’s sire is Ch PowWows Midnight Cole who also was invited to Westminster last year. Angel has her 2 majors and needs only 5 singles to finish her AKC Championship. AKC judge Carla Rose of Rose pugs, awarded her Best in Specialty at CAPC City of Angels Pug Club in 2008, handled by AKC pro-handler Jeanne Henderson.

The Agners and Phyllis Henderson have been great mentors with their expertise and wonderful friendships. We all miss Dianna Geerling whom passed away in 2006. Great thanks to Blanche Roberts for breeding into her lines producing my first home bred champion Jewel back in 2004 and is the Grand-dam to out Thad. Her full sister was the number 2 bitch in the nation in 2005. And of course Etel, who finished Thad last year and enjoying Dottie as well.

I have been providing an alternative to kennel boarding for pug owners and have cage less overnight doggie care for families of my pugs and new clients. I also rescue unwanted pugs and find them loving homes, and after every litter sold, I donate an amount to Pugs N Pals rescue here in Orange County. Written Guarantees are given with new puppies, Vet checks, vaccines, dew claws taken off, worming completed, Ivermectin given monthly, food and care packets to all new families. In addition-Special Testing: The Heart is the most important organ in any animal; Thad had his OFA Doppler Cardiac Ultrasound done and passed with flying colors. There are plans for my 2 year old females to receive the same OFA testing this May 2009. My reputation is on the line. Showing and breeding the best in health, conformation and temperament for future generations is top on my Luv-d Pug list for companions or show.
